Every paycheck.
Every payroll.
WorkLogs44 runs the same screen for the employee modeling her own paycheck and the bookkeeper running a ten-person payroll. Federal, state, FICA — plus employer SUTA and FUTA. Decimal-precise, no rounding.
Three entries.
That's the whole flow.
WorkLogs44 is a free payroll calculator. Name a run, add the people, read the totals — it computes federal, state, FICA, and employer SUTA/FUTA, then itemizes every line with no account and no clutter.
Name the Payroll
Start a single paycheck for yourself or a named run for the team. Pick a pay period — weekly, biweekly, semimonthly, eight in total — and set the employer-side SUTA rate and wage base.
Add the Employees
Add one person or twenty. Each gets their own state, filing status, W-4, income mode, overtime, four deduction buckets, and YTD totals — every employee stays independent.
Read the Totals
A single card combines gross, taxes, net paid, and total employer cost. Tap through for a full per-employee breakdown — every line itemized, nothing hidden behind averages.
Your Paycheck and Their Payroll,
on the Same Screen.
An employee's take-home is what's left after every withholding comes out of gross. Pre-tax deductions like a traditional 401(k) or HSA lower taxable wages first, then federal income tax, state income tax, and the employee's half of FICA are applied, and finally post-tax items like Roth contributions or garnishments come off. WorkLogs44 itemizes every one of those lines.
Payroll adds the other side of the ledger. On top of each net check, the employer owes a matching share of FICA, federal unemployment (FUTA, 0.006 by default), and state unemployment (SUTA) up to each state's wage base. Add as many employees as the run needs — each with their own state, filing status, and W-4 — and a single totals card reconciles gross, taxes, net paid, and total employer cost.
A calculator that respects
both sides of the ledger.
One paycheck or a twenty-person run, hourly or salaried, across any mix of states — WorkLogs44 surfaces every input through a real UI. No hidden defaults, no rounded corners on your math.
One Screen, Two Audiences
The same screen works for the employee modeling her own paycheck and the bookkeeper running a ten-person payroll. Add one employee, or add twenty — everything scales the same way.
Employer-Side Taxes
The payroll layer adds SUTA with its wage-base cap, FUTA (defaults to 0.006, override for your state credit), the FICA match, and free-form employer costs — total employer cost beside each net.
Every Employee Independent
Each person carries their own state, filing status, W-4 entries, income mode, overtime, four deduction buckets, and exemptions. Change one field and that breakdown updates live.
Wage-Base-Aware, Mid-Year
YTD FICA, FUTA, and SUTA keep wage-base caps honest after the year is underway — Social Security stops at the cap, Medicare adds its surtax, employer taxes stop when the base is met.
Decimal Math, No Rounding
Every calculation runs in decimal — no floating-point drift. The same itemization you get from real payroll software, on the device already in your pocket.
All 50 States + DC
Full state withholding for every employee, each in their own state. Mix a CA salary, a NY hire, and a TX hourly worker in one run and the totals still reconcile.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Payroll Calculator free?
Yes — you can model a single paycheck or run a full multi-employee payroll without paying or creating an account. An optional Premium subscription unlocks 21 extra themes (Cove, Depths, and Dune are free), but the calculator itself is free.
Can it run a multi-employee payroll?
Yes. Add one employee or twenty on the same screen. Each person stays independent — their own state, filing status, W-4, overtime, and deductions — while the payroll layer rolls up the totals.
Does it calculate employer payroll taxes?
Yes. On top of each employee’s net, it adds employer SUTA (with its wage-base cap), FUTA (0.006 by default, override for your state credit), the FICA match, and any free-form employer costs you enter.
Where does my pay data live?
On your device. Nowhere else. Every calculation runs on-device — your wages, deductions, and results are never transmitted to our servers or anyone else.
Does it work offline?
Yes. The calculation engine runs entirely on your phone, so you can run a paycheck or a payroll with no connection. Internet is only used for analytics, crash reporting, and subscription validation.
Which states are covered?
All 50 states plus the District of Columbia — every state’s withholding, applied per employee, so a payroll spanning several states reconciles in one totals card.
